As today's leading thermal camera manufacturer, InfiRay has the agility, sense of purpose and financial background with which a manufacturer can dictate the pace.
Already at the time when the X-Eye E6 series was released, we were shocked by the quality of their devices and the new, high-quality detail of the image we saw. For 2021, the manufacturer has come up with a real novelty, which combines all the innovations of the thermal camera market in recent years in one device.
At first glance, the new ZOOM ZH38 also "just" looks like a professional handheld thermal camera. However, the manufacturer came to the decision that it meets the demand of most thermal camera buyers, that it would really be good to go out into the field with two devices. One that helps with quick orientation with its wide viewing angle and good peripheral vision, and another that helps with identification with its high magnification.
With the unique dual lens system of the Zoom ZH38 thermal camera, we can quickly switch between two viewing angles. Once you've found your target with the 19mm focal length, wide-angle setting, you can quickly switch to 38mm in one move for confident identification and viewing of precise details. This new function finally meets the requirements of fast search and accurate identification in one device.
In addition, thanks to the two focal lengths, when searching at 38 mm with the thermal camera, according to factory data, a human figure or a heat source of similar size can be discovered from a distance of 1,974 meters.
Equipped with a 640*512 resolution thermal sensor and a colorful, high-resolution HD OLED display, it boasts an unparalleled imaging effect. Thanks to the wide range of functions, e.g. diverse color options, picture-in-picture, digital zoom, hot spot tracking, and the automatic target size analysis function created by further thinking about the distance estimation function allow users to choose the optimal observation mode based on the current scenarios. The flexibility of the image you see and the thermal camera is really beyond anything before. With the help of just one focus dial, the user can intuitively switch between two focus positions in a definite step with a larger movement, and then fine-tune the focus setting with a small movement of the same dial. The focus dial on this camera will definitely get used, but it's worth it. The setting is sensitive, extremely fine-tunable, yet fast.
The novelty is compact in size and has an excellent grip. Thanks to its structure, it effectively resists water and dust, and promises durability in every detail. It can be replaced with a 4400 mAh battery, which can be removed and installed extremely easily and quickly - not to mention the up to 10 hours of operating time* promised by the manufacturer. Its 0.4" color FHD AMOLED display also pushes the limits of current technology with its resolution of 1440 x 1080 pixels. The image seen here allows optical magnification of 1.6 - 3.2 times, which can be digitally enlarged up to 12.4 times. This thus an 8-fold zoom coverage. The picture-in-picture function even takes this a step further. The picture icons continuously inform you of the currently set zoom level.
The world-first developed sensor with extreme thermal sensitivity (NETD < 25 mK) fills the display with unparalleled information. The engineers tried to ensure that even in bad weather conditions (low temperature, rain, fog, or fog) the contrast of the image should be excellent for proper recognition and identification.
Thanks to the new calibration procedure, energy consumption has become significantly lower and the "noise" of calibration has disappeared. Thanks to the well-thought-out design, the operating buttons also operate silently.
The built-in 32 GB memory absorbs almost unlimited images and reproduces videos made with a large sensor in very good quality, which finally have a soundtrack thanks to the built-in microphone.
The Zoom ZH38 can be widely used for night hunting, observation and position determination, but it can also be an extremely effective and spectacular aid in the hands of search and rescue units.
